A Reminder
A Reminder
Walking to my job one fine morning
I look through my high school window
And immediately find myself across
With my friends very cross
Where have you been all these years my mate
Didn't we tell you that it's bad to be late and why is the blue
uniform not ironed well
But we forgive you for the day is about to be swell
Let's go to the shop during break
I'm sure it will help us stay awake
During the long periods of the day
And make us not lose the way
Best yet is the period of games
Ought we to defeat James?
Before moving back to the grand foyer
For the math period before the closing prayer
Mrs. Debbie has been asking for you too
Class teacher Devi says she will fix you with goo
But most importantly, we'll lock the door
Even if you stay put on the floor
And so, I was awakened by a horn
Driven by a rogue with a facial corn
Amidst the cries of plaintive bargaining
I must continue onto work for my earnings
