Freedom
Strive I did with withering hands
To search for the meat-bands
Thrown by the red-eyed jailor time
Amidst the darkness of eyes mine
Frosty beard and mangy frame
Find I did the silver keys fame
Try I did to push doors of iron molten
Pry I did the Sun betwixt window bars stolen
Far away ran the fabled Ganges - sands clean
With skeletons of old and new between
Golden frame I saw mine too with binds
But sail I did oceans sweet - skeletons behind
Till I circled back to the city of Kashi beheld Vishwa’s
The cosmic dance that is not only of Shiva’s
But his awe mother too - amidst the great city spires
Merged into the processions, sweets, drums and fires
